Becker Vineyards Winery Tasting, Sat. 2-5 PM

Featured on the Fine Living Channel, and served at The White House, these hand crafted award-winning Bordeaux, Burgundian, and Rhone-styled wines are enjoyed with fine cuisine or casual fare. Wine Spectator and countless publications have bestowed endless accolades on their 20 years of viticulture and winemaking. We practice a hands-on people-centered philosophy and Becker Vineyards is proud to be one of the largest contractors of Texas Fruit. The focus will always be "wine" the enjoyment is meant to be "yours" and the pleasure is all "ours". Currently we carry Becker: Iconoclaust Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Malbec Prairie Rotie (out of stock from the winery) We will also be tasting the following wines and looking for feedback on whether we should pick them up permanently or not: Fume Blanc Rose Provencal Spring Time Come out any time between 2-5 p.m. this Saturday and sample some of these famously delicious wines made from in Texas from Texas grapes forTexans!

LIVE - Frank Gilligan Friday @ 8 PM

Former lead singer of Capitol Records artist Mason Dixon, Frank amassed 13 Billboard singles in his career. He was recently featured singer on a 2010 project by The Great Recession Orchestra, a tribute to Western Swing pioneer Milton Brown. His influences run the entire spectrum from Gospel to Country to Jazz and Folk and are reflected in his performances and songwriting.

Honky Tonk Festival TODAY!

With the rodeo wrapping up this weekend, skip the traffic, long lines and high prices, and come join us for all the fun and festivities during Tomball's Second Annual Honky Tonk Music Festival. Enjoy a full afternoon of live classic country tunes, dancing, street vendors and a kid zone! Did we mention free parking and admission? Don't forget to drop by The Empty Glass for beer on draft, a featured Sister Creek Vineyards wine tasting and to continue the two stepping with live music out on our patio 8-11 PM.

Our patio will be transforming into a watering hole oasis, with plenty of ice cold Karbach beer flowing on tap. Come relax with a frosty mug of Weisse Versa - a German Hefeweizen/Belgian Witbier hybrid, brewed with coriander and citrus peel, perfect for nice spring day! Feeling a little bolder? Let us fill your mug with Rodeo Clown. This double IPA packs a punch boasting a 9.5% alcohol content.

Then venture inside and taste through the five of the varietals this Texas winery has to offer. Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country since 1988, Sister Creek Vineyards has been producing award winning, barrel-aged European-style wines in their 1885 restored cotton gin for years. We currently carry their Chardonnay, Bordeaux-style red blend and Muscat Canelli - which we can barely keep in stock. We will also be tasting two more wines, their Pinot Noir and Merlot and we want to hear from you if we should pick them up permanently as well.

While the Honky Tonk Festival may end at 7 p.m., the good times are just getting started at The Empty Glass! Out on our newly expanded patio we'll have Duaine Hatfield and his guitar bringing you even more of country's hits, and throwing in some Eagles, Skynard and other classic rock favorites. Music starts at 8 p.m.

Just two years ago, Texas-based singer-songwriter Brant Croucher released his first album, Old Denton Roads, a collection of lyric-driven Americana, country and rock-inspired songs about road-weary travel and love-lost… and an occasional affinity for whiskey. The Houston native has since been nominated for Best Country Act by the Houston Press in 2011 and 2012 and Best Male Vocalist by the Texas Music Awards in 2012. A new album in the works, for the wayward writer, along with a host of tour dates across the U.S.
